The Better Outcomes for the Sickest and Tiniest (BOOST) Program is focused on improving clinical outcomes of the most vulnerable babies cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit. Our work involves conducting randomized clinical trials, multicenter registry-based studies, evidence synthesis, and exploring how clinical decision-making can better incorporate family values and preferences.
The Better Outcomes for the Sickest and Tiniest (BOOST) research program focuses on improving outcomes babies born extremely premature as well as those who require critical life support. These babies often have significant problems with their heart function and face a high risk of death or serious brain injury that requires intensive care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The goal of the BOOST Program is to improve the care of the smallest and most vulnerable newborns.
