The goal of the BOOST Program is to improve the care of the smallest and most vulnerable newborns.

- Neonatal hemodynamics and targeted neonatal echocardiography
- Management of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA)
- Effect of cardiac shunts on outcomes of extremely preterm infants
- Effects of medications on cardiac function in preterm infants
- Effects on therapeutic hypothermia on cardiac function in term infants with birth asphyxia
- Prevention of intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH)
- Parent and clinician engagement in decision-making
- Evidence synthesis – Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews
- Guideline development – Canadian Paediatric Society, Neonatal Hemodynamic Research Centre
