The purpose of this study is to determine if we can use teeth to understand an individual’s early life environments and experiences, in particular exposure to substances found in our environment, like lead.
We are a group of researchers from the BC Children’s Hospital and University of British Columbia who are interested in how early life environments and experiences influence child development and health.
We believe there’s nothing we can’t do with your support. It can take years to turn scientific breakthrough into new interventions and treatments. Funding helps speed the pace of change. When given the resources, we can bring transformative therapies – and hope – out of the laboratory and into the clinic to save and improve children’s lives.
