Who we are:

The Children’s Heart Centre is a passionate team of clinicians, researchers, medical trainees, and technical and clerical staff. We are committed to producing high-quality research to improve care for children with cardiovascular conditions.

How we do research:

The Children’s Heart Centre is involved in local, provincial, national and international research in pediatric cardiology.

We use a variety of methods, and collaborate with other services and disciplines including nursing, psychology, laboratory scientists, and others. This allows our research projects to be diverse.  Our research projects include clinical trials of new treatments, prospective registries, interventional studies, laboratory science, patient and family surveys and interviews, and synthesizing literature.

Why research is important:

To inform clinical care and patient management and improve our understanding of pediatric cardiovascular conditions.

Thank you to our patients and their families, and to our funders!
