Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Pediatric Utilization of Canadian EDs:<\/strong>\u00a0This multi-centre study aims to quantify and characterize the use of EDs by children and to collect data on ED utilization by children through Canada, in the periods before, during, and after the pandemic.<\/p>

The Impact of Covid-19 On Mental-Health Related Pediatric Emergency Department Visits in British Columbia:<\/strong> This study will characterize the impact of the Coronavirus Disease on mental-health related pediatric emergency department visits at a tertiary pediatric hospital in British Columbia. This knowledge will be used to guide resource allocation for emergency mental health management.<\/p>

Measuring Workload of Pediatric Emergency Physician with a Questionnaire Survey Using the NASA Task Load Index (TLX): <\/strong>This study aims to develop a physician-centered Standardized Workload Assessment Metric for Pediatric Emergency Departments (SWAMPED). Using the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX), a validated multidimensional workload measurement, SWAMPED will assign an overall workload score to each patient based on the workload of their care. This approach aims to better align patient needs with current staffing capacity to enhance efficiency and distribute workload evenly, preventing provider overload.<\/p>

Family perspectives on the implementation of MyHEARTSMAP for universal psychosocial screening in the Pediatric Emergency Department at BC Children\u2019s Hospital:<\/strong> MyHEARTSMAP has been previously evaluated for reliability and validity, and with the goal of implementing it in a pediatric emergency department at a quaternary care hospital, this study will assess the feasibility of psychosocial screening with MyHEARTSMAP from the perspective of youth and\/or parents.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
