When Sam Maloney was a baby, his poop was green. He was sick all the time. He wasn’t thriving. Sam’s mom Tara Blaney knew something was wrong. But it wasn’t until he was 18 months old, weighing only 18 pounds, that Tara first heard the words “cystic fibrosis”. She had never heard of it before and when she Googled it, her entire world changed.
The registration form for the Gairdner High School Symposium will be posted on this page from Monday, September 19 to Sunday, September 25, 2022.
To complete the registration form you will be asked to provide the following:
- Your name, email address, grade and school name
- Sponsor teacher name and email address
- How you would like to participate: In-Person OR Virtually. You may only select ONE method of participation
- A personal statement (250 words or less) that answers the following questions: Why are you interested in attending the 2022 Gairdner High School Symposium? What do you hope to gain from participating?
The Gairdner High School Symposium is a popular program with limited capacity. Unfortunately, not everyone who registers will have the opportunity to participate. Sessions will be recorded and available in the Video Library in early 2023.
