The Agilent 6495 utilizes Agilent Jet Stream Technology (increases sensitivity), has improved ion optics (lower limits of detection), curved collision cell assembly (increases accurate identification and structural analysis) and a new detector (increases sensitivity). This allows for a ultrahigh-performance system built for research with identification and quantitation of analytes at the atomol levels.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The DAD enables high-speed UV-Vis detection with full-spectrum capability, while the FLD provides sensitive, multi-wavelength fluorescence detection and spectral data. Located in A5-126, this machine can measure absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence, do both top and bottom reading, and has dispensers for reagent addition and can be used for a broad array of assays including cell viability\/proliferation, ELISA, protein\/nucleic acid quantification, kinetics, and more. Please book via Calpendo under the ACMaN calendar, and contact liam.golding@bcchr.ca<\/a> for training\/assistance. The Calpendo Activity Recorder is implemented on the linked computer, so please log in\/log out accordingly so we can bill correctly. <\/p>\n<\/div>

Located in A4-124, this machine perform high-resolution metabolic analysis, measuring key cellular processes such as oxygen consumption rate (OCR), proton efflux rate (PER), extracellular acidification rate (ECAR), or ATP production rates, providing insights into mitochondrial function, glycolysis, and cellular energy metabolism.

Note that there will be no training\/assistance booking types with this machine, so prior to booking \u201cself-serve,\u201d users must contact Kate (kate.choi@bcchr.ca) to be added to the approved user list.<\/p>\n<\/div>
