Learn More About the Translational Genetics Research Collaborative
Trust, equity, and mutual respect are fundamental and foundational to how we work. We model exceptional teamwork with a commitment to inclusion and personal growth. We conduct rigorous research to learn respectfully from, and advocate for, underserved people, families, and populations with the goal of driving evidence-based improvements to clinical practice. Through modeling and active knowledge exchange at all levels, we inspire growth in genetic counselling, mental health, and health services research to transform clinical practice.
The Translational Genetics Research Collaborative (TGRC) is interested in doing research that applies a justice-oriented approach to advancing personalized medicine. Through our research, we aim to:
- Develop evidence-based practice in genetic counselling
- Inspire growth in mental health and health services research
- Increase access to genetic services in an equitable way to ensure we are serving all who have need for them
