The Rare Disease Discovery Hub is a multi-disciplinary, translational research program designed to help children affected by undiagnosed ‘mystery’ conditions by discovering the cause of their disease and then gaining an understanding of how the disease works.

The goal of the Hub is to facilitate more rare disease research at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre.

The Rare Disease Discovery Hub was designed to help support patients and families with undiagnosed rare diseases, as well as their medical teams, to access research testing when standard clinical tests have been unable to find a diagnosis.
