R For Beginners, November 2020
Do you want to use R in your research? Not sure where to begin?
TOG is hosting an introduction to R workshop in partnership with UBC's ECOSCOPE. We will teach you the basics of R and help you get comfortable installing packages, reading in data, and performing basic data visualization.

Introduction to R for BCCHR Trainees and Summer Students
Are you a trainee at BCCHR or an undergraduate in the BCCHR Summer Student Research program? You're in luck, as TOG will be hosting a Virtual Beginner R Workshop just for you!
Date: Friday, June 26th, 2020
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
This workshop will be an introduction to R and RStudio at the beginner level. No prior experience in R is required.

Attendance is free but space is limited to 30 BCCHR Trainees & 30 BCCHR Summer Students. Registration will be first-come, first-serve.

Mandatory Prerequisite – Participants will be asked to provide evidence that they have R, R Studio and a library (e.g. tidyverse) installed before Wednesday, June 24. Beginners who need extra assistance with fulfilling the prerequisites are encouraged to attend a help session on Tuesday, June 23 from 12:00 - 1:00pm. Additional details on mandatory prerequisites will be sent to registered participants.
TOG Presents: R for Beginners, 2020 Edition
We are hosting a second beginner workshop for those who missed our first one in September 2019! The same content will be covered, so there is no need to attend if you already joined us last fall.
Come and dive into R with our expert instructors! This workshop is for those who are very new to using R and would like to learn more. A four-hour session will be taught by Dr. Amy Lee and Travis Blimkie, with lunch provided. Please bring your laptop and have RStudio installed prior to the workshop!
