Danya is a medical anthropologist who specializes in community-based participatory action and critical qualitative and ethnographic research and has worked for over 20 years with equity-deserving youth who use drugs and their families (biological, adoptive, and chosen).

Matt’s research sits at the intersection of social justice, public health, and clinical pediatrics and seeks to improve quality of care and health outcomes for structurally marginalized children, youth and families. His clinical and research activities are primarily focused in Vancouver’s inner-city.

Cathy Chabot, MA
CPSH Manager
Cathy supports all of the CPSH’s initiatives and is responsible for assembling resources, developing a learning ecosystem, planning events, strategizing co-designed community-partnered research projects, prioritizing applications for future funding and executing deliverables for the CPSH. Cathy trained as an anthropologist and has over 20 years of experience conducting and managing qualitative, ethnographic, and community-based participatory research projects and teams who work with marginalized and equity-deserving populations. She has specialized in research involving adolescents and young adults, including in the areas of substance use, mental health, sexual health, homelessness, and social inequity.
Britt Udall
Community Partnership Facilitator
Britt’s work focuses on building relationships with community partners across BC and beyond. Britt models community-centered meetings and support long-term relationships with community partners. She assists with event planning, curating Hub web pages and social media, and facilitating a community space for Hub meetings and events off BCCH campus. Britt has a long history working in community-based research in Vancouver, coordinating a longitudinal multi-methods study looking at barriers and access to care for marginalized populations.
