Measuring Workload of Pediatric Emergency Physician with a Questionnaire Survey Using the NASA Task Load Index (TLX)
This study aims to develop a physician-centered Standardized Workload Assessment Metric for Pediatric Emergency Departments (SWAMPED). Using the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX), a validated multidimensional workload measurement, SWAMPED will assign an overall workload score to each patient based on the workload of their care. This approach aims to better align patient needs with current staffing capacity to enhance efficiency and distribute workload evenly, preventing provider overload.
