Dr. Coelho is the Research Lead in the Provincial Specialized Eating Disorders Program for Children & Adolescents, based at BC Children's Hospital. Research in the Eating Disorders Program is integrated with clinical care. The research team invites children, youth and families who are engaged in clinical care in the Eating Disorders Program to take part in research to help us improve treatment, and understand the perspectives and experiences of individuals with eating disorders, and their families/caregivers. Dr. Coelho is also evaluating how to best provide training and consultation for clinicians who provide care for children and youth with eating disorders.

As the lead for the BC Eating Disorders Research Excellence Cluster, Dr. Coelho is passionate about bringing together knowledge users and mobilizing eating disorders research into clinical practice.
