Allie Slemon

Affiliate Investigator, BC Children's Hospital

My research focuses on addressing disparities in mental health that stem from injustices in our society and in our healthcare systems. In particular, I use community-engaged approaches, working directly with people with lived experiences of mental health challenges and healthcare providers to develop practical strategies for enhancing healthcare delivery for people within equity-owed groups. I use a range of qualitative and quantitative approaches, with a consistent focus on building from lived experience to drive change.
