As our key funding partner, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation provides essential funding support to the Institute. These funds help to support more than 300 researchers at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute who are working to serve children and families across BC by conducting in-depth clinical and scientific research based on the health needs of children and families.

The Research Institute is a partner of BC Children’s Hospital, which is the province’s only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital and serves close to 1 million children living in BC and the Yukon. All children who are seriously ill or injured are referred to BC Children’s and are either treated at the hospital facility in Vancouver or, with consultation from Children’s specialists, in their home community. Last year, more than 81,000 children were treated at BC Children’s.
