Today, Canada’s COVID-19 Immunity Task Force (CITF) is supporting a BC Children’s Hospital-led research project that aims to better grasp the role that children and young adults have played in the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in British Columbia (BC).
Around one in ten teens in Canada will experience SSRD – which involves chronic, physical symptoms such as pain or fatigue. SSRD can be debilitating and isolating as the physical symptoms make it difficult to attend school or socialize with friends.
ADHD is one of the most common psychiatric disorders of childhood and typically persists through adolescence and into adulthood. ADHD affects an estimated five to nine per cent of school-age children and four percent of adults. That means in every classroom, two kids would have ADHD, whether they’re diagnosed or not.
