Areas of research:

The use of clinical research methodology to address questions of public health interest and facilitate decision making. Examples include determining which drugs have the best effectiveness/safety profiles, and practice evaluation in order to determine the best way to administer care.

Development and evaluation of patient-centred approaches through the promotion of integrative medicine. One specific interest in this domain is the evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine integrated with usual conventional care.

Randomized clinical trial methodology, in particular for the development of pragmatic trials to assess usual care practice. The recent use of AI and real world data (RWD) to simulate clinical trial results is another area of interest.
