Congratulations to BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) and Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) investigators and their teams who were awarded funding through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Spring 2025 Project Grant competition.

Researchers at BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia found that blood DHA levels are associated with cognitive performance in five-year-olds. More research is required to explain the surprisingly meagre association between DHA intake and blood DHA levels.
Congratulations to the BC Children's, BC Women's and University of British Columbia doctoral students who were awarded a prestigious 2020 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
