Clinical Resident & Fellow Training Opportunities

BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) is home to more than 200 faculty members from the University of British Columbia (UBC) who provide supervision and mentorship in a variety of research areas related to improving the health of children and families.

Prospective clinical residents and fellows are encouraged to search our researchers, contact the research teams directly, and reach out to the UBC Postgraduate Medical Education Office for information related to the hiring process.

Clinical & Translational Research Seed Grants

To promote research collaborations between postdoctoral fellows and clinical trainees, physicians, or other healthcare professionals at the Oak Street campus. $20,000/year

UBC Clinician Investigator Program

The UBC Clinician Investigator Program is designed to provide a combined research and clinical training stream for residents in Clinical Specialty Programs at UBC. The aim is to encourage young physicians to pursue careers as clinician-scientists and to renew the clinical academic faculty at UBC and other Canadian medical schools.

Clinical & Translational Research Seed Grants

The Clinical & Translational Research Seed Grant has been developed to support clinical and translational research projects taking place at the Oak Street campus, by promoting research collaborations between postdoctoral fellows and clinical trainees, physicians, or other healthcare professionals.
