For the first time ever, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute has produced a mini Year in Review to publicly share a snapshot of research accomplished during the past fiscal year.
Adya experienced her bleakest moments in Grade 9, back in February 2021. She’d been called lazy and weak in front of 30 of her peers, and the depression that had overtaken her since the start of the school year during the COVID-19 pandemic — with its social isolation — deepened.
Congratulations to the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) and Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) investigators and their teams who were awarded funding through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Spring 2022 Project Grant competition. Our research community received around $15 million in new research grants as principal investigators or co-investigators.
