BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute: A year of innovation and breakthroughs

For the first time ever, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute has produced a mini Year in Review to publicly share a snapshot of research accomplished during the past fiscal year.

Research and media coverage highlighted in the Year in Review include improving youth mental health and well-being during the COVID-19 recovery phase in B.C., providing precision care to kids with cancer, a first-in-the-world diagnosis, and a link to a TikTok video about a study in which South Asian kids kicked up their heels in bhangra dance classes and improved their heart health.

Looking back over the past year illuminates the wide range of life-changing research that happens at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, benefiting families in B.C., Canada and beyond.
