Mini Med School is a health science outreach program. This popular series uses big ideas, big discoveries and big names to engage in learning and discussion about health research. 

Schedule

The next Mini Med School is planned for October-November 2018. The 6-week seminar series will be Wednesdays, 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Chan Centre for Family Health Education on the BC Children's Hospital Campus (938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver). 

Administration is free but space is limited, curriculum and registration details will be available September 2018. 

Interested in Attending?

Are you a teacher nominating a student? Students in grades 10-12 interested in attending must be nominated by a teacher and cannot register themselves. 

Are you a member of the general public? The Mini Med School curriculum is designed for students in grades 10-12 but a limited number of seats are reserved for the public each year


Not available to attend? Outside the Lower Mainland? All sessions will be recorded and viewable online. Please note registration is not required to watch the sessions online.

Mini Med School 2017 provided insight into the world of surgery. Participants learnt how surgeons are helping lead the integration of clinical care, education, and research to improve outcomes for the patients across a range of surgical specialties.
