POSNA Registry Grant 2017

In 2017, IHDR was awarded the first POSNA Registry grant. The registry grant aims to fund registry projects in pediatric orthopaedics which will have profound effects on care, represents POSNA’s substantial commitment to registries, with an emphasis on collaborative work and potential for expanded research and funding.

The grant application was evaluated based on:  significance, impact, relevance to POSNA mission, originality/innovation, scientific quality of the proposed study, investigator track record, feasibility, and potential for future funding.

Samson Award

In 2018, IHDR lead and PI, Dr. Kishore Mulpuri, received the J. Edouard Samson Award for orthopaedic research in Canada. The J. Edouard Samson Award recognizes the best career orthopaedic research over a period of five (5) years or more at a Canadian centre. The award consists of an educational grant and a personal research grant to be used by the recipient at the Canadian institution where he/she currently resides.
