Research to improve the care, experiences, and outcomes of children and families in the Pediatric Emergency Department.

Dr. Sabhaney’s research focuses on improving emergency care for children through clinical research and quality improvement projects. One key area of his work is infectious disease emergencies, including fever, sepsis, respiratory infections, and complications of viral illnesses such as SARS-CoV-2. His work also aims to improve pain management and reduce procedural distress for children receiving emergency care. Through clinical trials, observational research, systematic reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and multi-centre collaborations, the Sabhaney Lab generates evidence that can be translated into safer, more effective, and more patient-centred care for children and families.
