Research overview

Cancer is the most common disease-related cause of death for children in Canada. Researchers at BC Children’s Hospital aim to improve the health of children with cancer today and tomorrow through the delivery and testing of new personalized medicines and the discovery of molecular pathways that may cause these devastating diseases. The Maxwell Lab shares these goals and focuses our studies on the following themes:

  1. Discover and target molecular pathways that underlie hereditary cancers.
  2. Understand how cells grow and move in tissues and tumors.
  3. Collaborate and develop prospective personalized medicine in childhood cancers.
